Reggae singer Droop Lion drops new 'Ideologies' album today

Today (May 19) marks the official release of reggae journeyman Droop Lion’s  newest album, Ideologies.

Described as “a profoundly simple, yet rather eclectic mix which brilliantly explores and exposes  multiple layers of musical genres including roots, rock and reggae”, Ideologies is available both as a hard copy and also on various digital platforms.

Comprising 14 tracks, this destined-for-success album includes songs such as Have You Ever Seen The Rain, Pray For Them, Ganja Baby, fan favourite Freeway, Leaders Sell Out, Modern Slavery, Rags To Riches; Screaming, Katta, You Can’t Hurt Her, Time For Love, Talk About It, Jah Wind is Blowing and Lockdown.

Each song has its own distinctive flavour that evokes a response from the avid listener, whether it is a cool slow jam or a  rollicking 'pull up'. Sheer, undiluted passion is the common  thread which easily connects all the songs on this set, which will undoubtedly fulfil the singer’s vow to “make Reggae great again.”

According to Droop Lion, “There’s a special song on it for everyone … and some persons will find more than one special song.

“We took the decision to do just one cover, and that is the lead single, Have You Ever Seen The Rain, and from the response, it seems like we made a great choice,” added the Rastafarian singer with the signature, soul-searing voice.
Have You Ever Seen The Rain was released on March 17 to critical acclaim.

Ideologies lists Cabel Stephenson and Tameka Reynolds as executive producers and VPal Records as distributors.

I-Octane Shares Sexy Scenes of Upcoming "Long Division" Video featuring Spice

SPICE & I-OCTANE

Kingston, Jamaica (MPR Consulting) - Dancehall and Reggae star I-Octane recently released the sexy single "Long Division" featuring fellow dancehall star Spice. Produced by Good Good Production, the breakthrough track is the second released single from I-Octane forthcoming 2017 album.

The sensuous and provocative single has delivered an equally steamy video which will be released in the upcoming weeks. Directed by Bling Blang Production, "Long Division" was filmed on location at the Ward Theater, downtown in Kingston, Jamaica and pairs both stars in a seductive setting. "The single Long Division is a sexual song about 2 persons who have chemistry and want to explore each other. Both have mutual interest for each other but at the same time trying to figure out each other on a sexual level." explained I-Octane's manager, Ray Alexander.

"Long Division" video will premiere mid May, while the single is available on all major online digital stores http://smarturl.it/LongDivisionSingle

Busy putting the finishing touches on the upcoming album, and a recent thrilling performance in Antigua, I-Octane is slated to perform on May 28th in Miami at the 2017 Best of The Best Concert, one of the largest International Music Festivals in North America today.

"Blessed with a striking voice that combines Bob Marley’s broken tone, Buju’s rock stone grain and the vulnerable yearning of Jah Cure, he dwells at all points on the singer-to-deejay spectrum. " - Angus Taylor/Reggaeville

"He is a strong songwriter with a great deejay style and a good singing voice." -David Katz/BBC

"the sing-jay's chief contribution to dancehall reggae is his persuasive socially conscious voice denouncing violence and the lack of opportunities facing the island's poor." - Patricia Meschino/Billboard
